My First Pedal Steel:   My Very First Pedal Steel was a single-neck Redstone Custom, in Canadian Maple.   This was built for me by Jim Smith, a friend of mine. ( I added the white, furry  wrist rest !)

 My Next Pedal Steel:  I soon felt the need to replace
 my makeshift 'rest' with a proper double-body steel. 
 (single neck plus pad).  Jim Smith supplied me with 
 the blank body and I built the rest.
