I bought this immaculate, 60's ES335 back in 1990 for £850.  Someone had had the tailpiece removed for sustain purposes.  (And had filled the small screw holes).  It has had very little neck wear, and plays beautifully.  The only marks are on the original case in which it came. (Sorry about the poor quality photo'!)
