Like most steel players who like to use the occasional effects pedal,  I  soon  became  fed  up with all those patch  leads,  dead  batteries  and  signal  loss.  The answer? .. Get your brother to make you a box which incorporates  all  of  your  favourite  effects!   This unique unit, known as 'The Green Box', incorporates a digital delay, chorus, Dobro  effect, Boss Tone and an impedance matching device.   The unit  clips  onto the  leg of  my steel  and is  powered  by  an  external power  supply.   This  is  also  'home made', and is a  rugged, die-cast aluminium unit, finished in... GREEN (Well, it had to be didn't  it!)
